Travelling enhance your visions and make you a global citizens with opinions which are just not local. And so is true for your stay at a new place! As it dictates what kind of experience you want to extract out of that place and a bad hotel in a new city can fill you with bitterness whereas a luxury stay would turn it into a lifelong memory. The hotels in Guwahati provide you with vivid options. There are 5 star hotels like Radisson Blu or an extremely economic bare minimal sort of accommodations too at this bustling North Eastern city. The Radisson Blu Hotel topped the list of hotels in Guwahati Assam for our one day stay in the city where we halted before heading to Kaziranga National Park and what a great decision it proved to be. Let the pictures do rest of the talking and take a look!
The Radisson Blu hotel is located at NH 37 which leads straight to the popular tourist destination Kaziranga National Park which is 15 km away from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport and 40 min drive from Guwahati railway station. This is the entrance area of the luxury hotel which flaunts open spaces, modern fountains and contemporary design.
The majestic grandeur and splendour of lobby area is mesmerising. One step inside the hotel and you find yourself staring at a huge crystal art piece in crystal at the centre of the lobby area. I have stayed in almost all sort of 5 stars from Taj to ITC group of hotels but what I like about its design is the open spaces. There is not much of cluttering of decorative pieces or dim lights. It feels very welcoming than being claustrophobic.
There is an outdoor terrace adjacent to the lobby area which is separated by glass walls with a swimming pool area so perfectly laid out that you can actually enjoy your evening snacks and sip coffee while admiring the area.
The morning breakfast was a usual buffet breakfast with a variety of options from Indian to continental to South Indian to every other dish you could think off which is same everywhere in any luxury 5 star hotel. The buffet breakfast was included in our plan but if you are staying around and just want to have lunch or dinner over there with friends and family then the lunch costs Rs1300 per person for the buffet layout.
It costed us 10000RS for a day stay for a standard room. and we got it booked over phone. The reservations are really easy with their 24/7 available hotlines and online bookings over internet.
The sumptuous breakfast layouts are usual to any hotel but what impressed me was an entire slab stacked with bread baskets with a variety of bread and baked items. The cherry topped danish were so out of the world and so were donuts.
There is also a small confectionery at the lobby area where you could easily order pastries or cakes and savour it with coffee if you don’t intend to have lunch or dinner there.
The front area of hotel flaunts lush greenery, gigantic trees, flowing waters and ponds. I just kind of missed floating ducks over there. It was that cute. There’s a front area reception too with prompt troupe of concierges and janitors ready to assist you at your fingertips.
So that was all about my stay to Radisson Blu Hotel Guwahati which freshened me to the core and the sumptuous buffet breakfast filled my tummy for days. Will surely return sometime soon being the nomadic soul that I am!
