I recently visited the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a paradise known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life. I stayed at the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andaman, located on Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7)—an experience that was nothing short of extraordinary. We visited in the month of January which is undoubtedly the best weather to visit Andaman.

Radhanagar Beach is undoubtedly the most beautiful beach in the Andaman, with its powdery white sand that feels incredibly soft beneath your feet. The ocean waves are calm and inviting, making swimming feel as effortless as floating in a pool. To elevate the experience, the Taj team arranged an unforgettable scuba diving session with their affiliated diving company, ensuring I had the best time exploring the underwater world.

To reach Radhanagar Beach, I took a ferry from Port Blair, and the journey itself felt surreal—lush greenery, pristine shores, and endless blue waters. But what truly made my trip exceptional was the hospitality at Taj Exotica. Having stayed at many Taj properties, I can confidently say that their service in the Andaman is on another level. They take care of every detail, whether you’re traveling with kids, pets, or just seeking a peaceful retreat. At Taj Exotica, life truly slows down, allowing you to relax, rejuvenate, and unwind completely.

One incident that spoke volumes about Taj’s integrity and commitment to guest satisfaction—I accidentally left behind a T-shirt worth just $10. I told the staff over the phone not to worry about it, yet they went the extra mile and couriered it all the way from the Andaman to mainland India. This gesture reaffirmed why Taj Hotels holds such an exceptional reputation for hospitality.

The beautiful cottage villas are eco-friendly and equipped with all modern amenities. The bathroom had a bathtub and a hot shower. Since we had two children, they generously provided an extra bed in our room. It is heavenly to be here. The palm tress surrounding these villas offer a romantic ambience.

Taj Exotica & Spa feels like an entire city in itself, offering a range of facilities, including a spa, swimming pool, souvenir shop, multiple fine-dining restaurants, a fitness center, and a dive center where interested tourists can register for scuba diving. There’s also a bar, play areas, a kid-friendly zone, and a scenic walkway that leads to the beach in just five minutes.

The best part is the exceptional hospitality. From the moment you enter the hotel, the staff welcomes you with songs, refreshing cold towels, and coconut water, and even places chocolates in your room. When it’s time to leave, the entire staff gathers to personally bid you farewell, making you feel like royalty.

One of the most memorable moments was sunset at the Radhanangar beach. The Taj staff arranges for a lavish tea and snacks at the beahc itself for its guests, you can sip on your tea and watch the magic of the sunset.

Our package included only breakfast, but the five star hotel in Andaman generosity made our experience even better. They kindly allowed us to pack some breakfast items as a takeaway. During our stay, we packed food for lunch from the sumptuous breakfast spread and enjoyed complimentary tea and snacks at the beach, making dinner almost unnecessary.

The rest of the day we spent on the Radhanagar beach swimming in the ocean or sometimes by the swimming pool reading a book. The benches on the on the private beach of the Taj exotica also allows luxury with privacy. they offer teh guest towels water and their life guards truly look after every arrangment. You can only enjoy everything that the ocean has to offer.

I also shopped for some seashell souvenirs from their store, and the prices were quite reasonable. The shop offers everything from sunscreen and swimming costumes to hairbands and clothing.

Taj Exotica also offers a variety of adventure activities for tourists, including kayaking, scuba diving, jungle trekking, cycling, fishing, and more—perfect for those seeking thrill and excitement. However, one of my most unique experiences was meditating on the beach at night in complete solitude. The combination of the ocean breeze, the rhythmic sound of the waves, and the whispers of the jungle created a truly divine and otherworldly experience.

Our holiday was so wonderful that I truly have no words to describe it. When I say that Taj Exotica & Spa made our stay truly comfortable, it’s an honest review. I highly encourage everyone to stay and experience this seven-star property at the southernmost beaches of India—Incredible India at its finest.

One special moment was the surprise farewell cake and seashell placed on our table on the day we were departing. It touched my heart and left me emotional. Best holidays ever! It is the best hotel in entire Andaman island.

I would also highly recommend that all visitors to the Andamans take time to watch the Sound and Light Show at Port Blair. It was truly unforgettable. Our children, in particular, learned a lot from the experience, making it both educational and deeply moving. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting the region!
