Kerala top honeymoon destination in India!

The God’s own country Kerala which is famous for its spice gardens and backwaters has so much to offer to the couples. Almost every second movie is shot in Kerala. Plus it is an extremely safe state. The scenic beauty, calm back waters and the diversity of places around make it one of the most charming honeymoon destinations. There is Andaman and there is Goa but there is only one Kerala. It tops my chart of Top 8 honeymoon destinations in India through the eyes of real couples. because there is lot of diversity at the place that a couple can explore together. The infrastructure and tourist places are well equipped so the newlyweds don’t need to feel hassled. The smooth connectivity, the equitable weather ,roads and other transportations make it available for tourists round the year. The serene beaches, tranquil stretches of backwaters, lush green hills and exotics national parks  make it one of the most sought after location not only in India but also in Asia.

Anuja and Ashish had their honeymoon in the fascinating lands of Kerala just after their wedding. Ashish says that after the wedding in Patna he really wanted to spend some quality time together with her wife at some scenic place where he doesn’t have to worry about a thing. And that is when Kerala pops out in his mind. He bought an entire package from Anjali tours and Travels in Patna for Kerala which proved to be such a pleasing experience for him. The hotel room and vehicle provided by the Anjali Tours & Travels kept on upgrading knowing their newlywed status. Their honeymoon itinerary  was

Patna –Kochi–Munnar–Alleppey–Thiruvananthapuram–Poovar

Kochi is famous for beaches and monuments where they stayed for a day. They relished themselves with coconut waters there before heading to Munnar which is famous for its lakes and tea estates. The Alleppey is famous for its backwaters and experience there comprise spending laid back days and night onto the privacy of houseboats while adoring the heavenliness of backwaters. Then they headed to Thiruvananthapuram which is the capital city of Kerala where they visited temples like legendary padmanabhaswamy temple and Kanyakumari. Most people head back to their homes from their. But being the couple in love together that they are they headed to Poovar Islands ahead of Thiruvananthapuram where they stayed in Poovar Island Resorts.   The boat ride into the marshy shallow waters in the dark forest at golden sand beach proved to one of a kind of thrilling experience for them. Poovar island is also famous for birds watching.

Ashish says that everything was taken care by the Anjali tours and travels but he advises the newly weds to opt for single cabin houseboats in Alleppey for complete privacy. And even if you get double cabins it would be wise to book the both.

There was this another madly in love couple Renu and Anupam who chose Kerala as their honeymoon destination only because they wanted to spend some quite and relaxing time as official couple now after dating for years. So rather than hitch hiking too much they spent almost their entire honeymoon at the comforts of TAJ Kovalam. They had this entire villa to them with a personal swimming pool and hotel even arranged a midnight surprise cake for them. They also had a great time wandering at the quietness of Munnar forest and spending hours near the Munnar lake.

The forest and lake simply leaves an everlasting impression. Munnar is famous for it’s tea estates and a very small hill station surrounded by tea plantation It also has 8 waterfalls to offer to tourists. The forest lies behind the lake and the chirping of birds make it a lovely experience. The Lakkam waterfalls are very famous and any photographer’s delight. The couple advises the newly weds to bring their dslr with them as mobile would simply not be enough to capture the beauty of the place. They also rate their Taj Kovalam experience 5 star and insist on booking a nice hotel for an everlasting memories.

There is a nearby place Kundala which is about 20 km from Munnar  and famous for flowers which bloom once in twelve years around the Kundala Dam on the lake. The memories of Munnar is still fresh in couples mind which has so much of scenic beauty to offer to couples in love. Don’t know why but Munnar somehow reminds me of Jabalpur
